The Magic of Still Life Photography

The Magic of Still Life Photography is what our July 19 workshop is based upon. We want to share with you how to creatively capture what you see around you in daily life. There are so many beautiful little pieces that make up the surroundings in your home, in your workspace and in your travels. These deserve being turned into a forever memory.

Just look around and find beauty in the simple things – a baby’s dress hanging on a line that looks so precious on but won’t fit in another month, a flower picked to make someone’s day, a summer meal cooked to perfection on the grill, a pile of books that need to be read. All of these are fleeting moments in the scheme of life. But captured with intention in a way that evokes the emotion, that was felt at the moment, will be far from fleeting. It will bring forth the senses from that time – the smell, the sound and most important the feelings. When a beautiful image is created you will never lose it -it is yours forever.
Our goal is to help you to see your surroundings in a different way, document it creatively and then preserve it in print. You will forever hold that memory dear and it will not just fade away.

We are so excited to explore this idea and many more in the future as we will delve into the what to do once the image is has been made. This is only the beginning as in future workshops we will touch on how to perfect in Lightroom and Photoshop, how to print and display your precious memories so that you can revist them again and again.

This workshop will be held in the Lehigh Valley. Upon sign up you will receive instructions on exact location. Sign up here

We cannot wait to share the magic of photography with you!

July 10 – Philly Photo Extravaganza

Want to learn about photography in a fun and exciting way?  We want to teach you how we do what we do and how we have created businesses that allow us to live our passion daily.  It is about Seeing.   Seeing beauty, art and light in any and every moment.  There is not a day that passes that a photograph isn’t made by us.  We just can’t not capture moments.  With our cameras always at the ready we can find a way to create art wherever we are.  It’s so exciting to have this ability and we want to share what we see and how we make beautiful images.

Join us on July 10 for not only a “photography class” but a day of adventure.  We are going to provide live models and take you to some of our favorite locations in the City.

Not only will it be a day of fun, exploration and good food, we will show you some really essential photography skills as well.

Some key points that we will cover throughout the day are:

  • Why we pick a certain location
  • Posing for body shape and facial features
  • Camera settings to create stunning backgrounds
  • And most importantly Light, Light, Light – how to find it, see it and manipulate it to create images that will make your heart soar.

We are so excited for this adventure and look forward to sharing who we are with you.

The Journey Begins

TVF_TK0082 copyWe are working on our plans for our first three field trips of photographic wonder! Our first will be to Philadelphia and we are trying to decide if we shoud do a one or two day excursion. The agenda we’ve been compiling is just terrific and we hate to cut anything away…..hmmm, still pondering this! The good news is this trip is in the works for June 29 and possibly June 30.

The second trip is to Brooklyn and this one we have a wish list for and the research is a bit more extensive since we are less familiar with the city but we are hoping this excursion will take place in late August.

Our third plan is for Napa Valley and we’d like to visit in October this year!

So as we make progress on the itineries and get them nailed down and open for booking we will surely keep you posted! Meanwhile if you are seriously interested in any of our excursions please email us at theviewfindersadventurecompany@gmail.com

Thank you so much!
